Preserving the Stories That Built the Ranger Legacy

Every artifact tells a story.

Every uniform represents a life of service, sacrifice, and leadership. Together, they become more than pieces of history. They become the foundation upon which future generations will learn what it truly means to be a Ranger.

The Ranger Legacy Foundation is honored to begin receiving artifacts that will one day become part of the Ranger Legacy Center's permanent collection.

Gold Star Daughter Gift

In June, we were entrusted with an extraordinary gift from Nina McCoy, Gold Star daughter of Ranger Sergeant First Class John McCoy, Ranger Hall of Fame Inductee #0116 (1999).

Nina donated two of her father's uniforms, one from his service in the Canadian Army and another from his service in the United States Army. She also entrusted us with the uniform of Colonel Lewis L. Millett, Medal of Honor recipient and Ranger Hall of Fame Inductee #0102 (1997).

Colonel Millett is remembered as one of America's most distinguished combat leaders, earning the Medal of Honor after leading the last major American bayonet charge during the Korean War. His remarkable military career also included service during the Vietnam War and later serving as the Honorary Colonel of the 27th Infantry Regiment Association.

Sergeant First Class John McCoy faithfully served during the Vietnam War, where he made the ultimate sacrifice in Quang Tri Province on September 26, 1964. His legacy, like so many Rangers before and after him, continues to inspire those who wear the scroll today.

These uniforms represent more than military service. They embody courage, commitment, sacrifice, and the enduring values that define the Ranger community.

One Day In The Future

One day, visitors to the Ranger Legacy Center will stand before these artifacts and understand that history is not simply something to be read. It is something to be experienced. Through authentic stories and carefully curated collections, the Ranger Legacy Center will preserve the character, leadership, and legacy of America's Rangers for generations to come.
