2026 Ranger Hall of Fame MOI
On Monday, November 3, 2025, the Ranger Hall of Fame committee released the Memorandum of Instruction for the 2026 Ranger Hall of Fame process. This Memorandum of Instruction was sent out to the Ranger Hall of Fame voting board and simultaneously posted on the Ranger Legacy Foundation website for the public to access.
About
The Ranger Hall of Fame, established to honor and preserve the spirit and achievements of America’s most extraordinary Rangers, will be held on June 25, 2026, at Fort Benning, Georgia.
A notable update this year follows the October 3, 2025, revision to the Bylaws, which now limits the number of annual inductees to ten.
Inductees are chosen through an impartial selection process representing Ranger units and associations from every era of Ranger history. Each nominee undergoes a comprehensive review by the selection board to ensure that only the most exceptional contributions are recognized. The 2026 nomination process closes on February 6, 2026.

Eligibility
To be considered for induction, a nominee must be deceased, retired, or separated from active military service for at least three years at the time of nomination. Eligible individuals must have either:
Served in a Ranger unit in combat, or
Successfully graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School.
For the purposes of the Hall of Fame, a Ranger unit is defined as any Army unit recognized in official Ranger lineage or history. Achievements in state or national government following military service may also be taken into account.
Honorary Induction
Individuals who do not meet the traditional criteria may still be honored if they have made extraordinary contributions to Ranger units, the Ranger Foundation, or the wider Ranger community.
