That is the idea behind Legacy Summit.
The Ranger Legacy Foundation is proud to announce that Legacy Summit 2027 will take place September 23–26, 2027, at Columbus State University's Frank G. Lumpkin Center in Columbus, Georgia, in partnership with Fuji BJJ. The Ranger Legacy Foundation is the proud beneficiary of FUJI BJJ’s tournament as the competition anchor of the Legacy Summit.

Where Competition Meets Character, Connection and Legacy
Legacy Summit was created with a purpose that goes beyond the competition floor.
The Ranger Legacy Foundation exists to safeguard and share the enduring legacy of the Ranger community and to create a living institution where the values, stories, and spirit of Rangers can be passed forward to future generations.
Legacy Summit is one way we bring that mission to life.
At its heart, the Summit is about the values that define great teams and great communities: discipline, perseverance, humility, courage, leadership, service, and character. The competition and training provide the arena.
The purpose is what happens beyond it.
Through the Summit, we want to bring Rangers, athletes, veterans, first responders, families, students, coaches, supporters, and members of the broader community together around something they can experience together.
A New Kind of Gathering
Our partnership with Fuji BJJ brings together two communities that understand the value of preparation, discipline, resilience, mentorship, and earning your place.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a unique environment where preparation meets pressure and where character is revealed through action.
But Legacy Summit isn't simply about who wins a match. It is about the competitor who shakes hands before stepping onto the mat. The coach who invests in an athlete. The veteran who shares a lesson learned decades ago. The parent watching their child discover what they are capable of. The stranger who becomes a teammate. The Ranger who realizes that the values they learned in service still have a place in a new generation.
That is where competition becomes connection.

The Ranger community has always understood the power of shared experience. The Ranger Legacy Foundation believes that same spirit can extend beyond the Ranger community.
Legacy Summit is designed to create a place where people who might never otherwise cross paths can come together, compete, learn, listen, encourage one another, and build relationships.
It is an opportunity to introduce young people to examples of leadership and character. It is an opportunity for Rangers and veterans to remain connected to a community that values their experience. It is an opportunity for athletes to discover that the lessons learned through competition extend far beyond the scoreboard.
And it is an opportunity for the broader Columbus community to experience the heart of the Ranger community firsthand.
Legacy Is Something We Pass Forward
The Ranger Legacy Foundation often talks about legacy as something that must be actively passed forward.
That means creating opportunities for the next generation to encounter the values that have shaped those who came before them. Legacy Summit is part of that work.
The Ranger Legacy Center will ultimately serve as a permanent home for connection, education, preservation, and inspiration. But we don't have to wait for the doors of the Center to open to begin building that community.
We can build it now.
Through events. Through partnerships. Through mentorship. Through competition. Through conversations. Through shared experiences.
Legacy Summit is another step toward creating the kind of connected, living community we envision for the Ranger Legacy Center.
