The Ranger Legacy Foundation will honor six distinguished supporters during the inaugural Camo Jacket Society presentation ceremony, taking place on Tuesday, June 24 at 3:30 PM at Columbus State University’s Cunningham Center.
The Camo Jacket Society is an exclusive group of patriotic philanthropists who passionately support the U.S. Army Ranger community. While six individuals will be honored in person at this first ceremonial event, they represent a broader founding membership of 24 individuals united in their commitment to preserving and advancing the Ranger legacy.
Created to provide a meaningful and impactful avenue for support, the Camo Jacket Society is open to the first 200 founding members who make an initial contribution of $5,000, followed by an annual sustaining gift of $500. These members are also recognized as Plank Owners of the future Ranger Legacy Center, a dynamic hub envisioned to honor Rangers past, present, and future.
The society draws inspiration from the Chairborne Rangers, a dedicated group of civilian businessmen—led by the late Mr. Dick Leandri—who, in the 1980s, became instrumental in backing soldiers stationed at Fort Benning and were pivotal in launching the prestigious Best Ranger Competition.
This public recognition of six Camo Jacket Society members underscores their deep commitment to partnering with the Ranger Legacy Foundation in bringing the Ranger Legacy Center to life—a permanent home that celebrates service, preserves history, and inspires future generations. The ceremony will reflect the enduring values of the Ranger community: excellence, leadership, and selfless service.
