Brunk Conley
Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Brunk Conley concluded his distinguished military career as the 10th Command Sergeant Major of the Army National Guard, serving in Washington, D.C., from 2012 to 2016. A Ranger Hall of Fame inductee (2024), he served with the 2nd Ranger Battalion before continuing more than three decades of leadership in the Oregon Army National Guard.
Throughout his career, CSM Conley led Soldiers in combat and crisis response, including deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II, humanitarian operations following Hurricane Katrina, and Afghanistan, where he served with Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix V to help train the Afghan National Army and Police.
Today, Brunk is President and CEO of Conco Consulting and serves as a Senior Mentor for the Army War College's Nominative Leader Course. He holds degrees from Western Oregon University and American Military University and previously taught high school chemistry and physics. He and his wife, Laura, have been married for more than 40 years and are blessed with five sons and seven grandchildren.
