Ranger Hall of Fame
About
The Ranger Hall of Fame, established to honor and preserve the spirit and contributions of America’s most extraordinary Rangers, is held annually each June or July at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Inductees are selected through an impartial process representing Ranger units and associations across every era of Ranger history. Each nominee undergoes a thorough review by the selection board to ensure that only the most extraordinary contributions are recognized. A spreadsheet of all inductees can be found below, and we are working to build a comprehensive archive with photos and biographical information on this site.
Eligibility
To be considered for induction, a nominee must be deceased, retired, or separated from active military service for at least three years at the time of nomination. Eligible individuals must have either:
Served in a Ranger unit in combat, or
Successfully graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School.
For the purposes of the Hall of Fame, a Ranger unit is defined as any Army unit recognized in official Ranger lineage or history. Achievements in state or national government following military service may also be taken into account.
Honorary Induction
Individuals who do not meet the traditional criteria may still be honored if they have made extraordinary contributions to Ranger units, the Ranger Foundation, or the wider Ranger community.

Ranger Hall of Fame Mission
To honor and preserve the influences of the most extraordinary U.S. Army Rangers and civilians in American history who have given a life of selfless service and contributions to the Ranger community. To identify and highlight individuals as role models for current-era Rangers and educate the public on the culture of the U.S. Army Rangers.
Induction Ceremony
The Ranger Hall of Fame annually inducts a grouping of new members. The ceremony is hosted by the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade. It is historically held on Fort Benning; where each inductee is presented with an engraved Ranger Hall of Fame medallion and plaque. The medal signifies selfless service, excellence and remarkable accomplishment in the defense of the nation and to the highest ideals of service.
