The Importance of Working Committees in Building the Ranger Legacy Foundation

At the Ranger Legacy Foundation, we believe that the strength of our mission is found not only in vision, but in the teamwork and collaboration that bring that vision to life. One of the most effective ways this happens is through our working committees—dedicated groups of volunteers and leaders who focus on specific areas critical to our growth.

Working committees allow the Foundation to harness the experience, skills, and perspectives of our community. They ensure that no single voice carries the entire burden, but instead, collective wisdom guides the way. Committees also provide opportunities for engagement, inviting members of the Ranger community, family members, and supporters to play an active role in shaping the legacy we preserve.

Currently, the Ranger Legacy Foundation is guided by several working committees. We highlight three of those committees below:

  • Campus/Building Committee – Focused on the long-term vision and development of the Ranger Legacy Center’s physical campus. This committee ensures that the facilities we create reflect the honor, history, and future needs of the Ranger community. Led by Dan Altieri.

Committee Members: Bob Williams, JR Edens, Melissa Siefken

  • Curation Committee – Dedicated to preserving and presenting the stories of Rangers throughout history. This team is shaping how artifacts, documents, and personal stories will be displayed, ensuring that the Ranger Legacy Center is both historically accurate and emotionally compelling. Led by Tara Harris

    Committee Members: Joe Armstrong

  • Gold Star Family Committee – Centered on honoring and supporting the families of Rangers who made the ultimate sacrifice. This committee guides the Foundation in providing space, resources, and recognition that uphold the enduring bond between the Regiment and its families. Led by Jill Stephenson

Committee Members: Mike Kelvington

Together, these committees represent the heartbeat of the Ranger Legacy Foundation. They turn big ideas into actionable steps, ensuring that every decision reflects the values of honor, legacy, and unity. By participating in or supporting the work of these committees, our community ensures that the story of the Rangers is not only preserved, but passed forward to future generations. Reach out to rangerlegacyfoundation@gmail.com if you are interested in serving on a committee.
